"Expiration Date" is an FPS game with survival elements, drawing inspiration from the Metro series, particularly in its resource management mechanics. Set in a pre/post-apocalyptic world, a regime reigns over the people, and you, the player, have been exiled from society. After joining a rebel group, your base is attacked by the regime, leaving you stranded and alone. Short on supplies and lost in an abandoned city, you must navigate this harsh environment to survive.

This solo student project was completed over four weeks. We had the freedom to choose our areas of focus and specialization; I chose AI, pathfinding, and modularity. To achieve this, I developed an Entity Component System (ECS) to manage various AIs and entities along with their respective components. With the ECS in place, I created a small game where the objective is to avoid enemies and survive as long as possible.
